Hi my dear lovelies! How are you this Christmas eve?
Today, I’m going to do a short review on a nail polish I got from an Essence Cosmetics warehouse sale earlier this month.
I got quite a few things during the sale, which cost under S$70 in total:
Top row, left to right: Essence Marble mania nail polish in Silver Twister, Essence You Rock! Edition polishes in Speed of Light Blue, Cut Off the Beige, Let Me in Pink, Essence Nude Glam polish in Toffee to Go, Essence Colour & go polishes in Gold Rush, Where’s the Party, Essence French Matt polish in 04 pretty matt, French Glam polish in 01 white glam, Essence Fruity LE sealing top coat, Essence Show Your Feet toe polish in Iced Mint Frappe, Essence Fruity LE nail polishes in 02 Peach Beauty & 05 Mashed Berries.
Bottom row, L to R: Essence Fruity nail fruits decorations, Essence Marble Mania nail art kit, Essence gel eyeliner in Berlin Rocks, Essence Sun Club bronzing blusher in 01 good morning sunshine, Essence XXXL lip glosses in Pure beauty, Timeless beauty, Rock On, Essence Circus circus it’s magic gold lip topper, gold glitter eyeliner, Essence black liquid eyeliner and Essence eyeshadow duos in All time favorite & Ever glam.
One if them was their Fruity Limited Edition nail polish in 05 Mashed Berries (top row, extreme right). It’s a sweet pink nail polish that leans slightly cool in shade but what’s interesting about this colour was that there are purple fine glitters suspended in it.
You can see how it really looks like on my toenails:
This was 3 coats for opacity, with Sally Hansen Double Duty base coat and Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.
I think I like it more than I expected to as it really brightens up my toenails since l’ve been wearing darkish coloured nail polishes for my pedicure for the last 2 months.
It’s a sweet pink that turns out jelly-like in look and I like that the glitters are not chunky so it’s easier to remove. But admittedly, the glitters are not so obvious on my toes so maybe they’ll do better on my fingernails.
The only gripe I have about the polish is that it tended to get thicker and goopier as I painted, but maybe a thinner like Seche Vite Restore will solve the issue.
Essence Fruity LE nail polishes come in 10 ml and I got it for a mere $2 at the sale. Not sure what the original price was though. The only other polishes in the collection with similar glitters are 03 Very Cherry (coral red-pink with purple glitters), and 04 One Kiwi A Day (lime green with dark green glitters).
Stay tuned for a make-up look I did with Essence make-up items shown in this post!
Thanks for reading! Merry Christmas to you! 🙂
